Before House of Embodiment, I worked in the startup world in finance, analytics, and team leadership. During those years I could get so absorbed in what was on my screen that I would unconsciously hold my breath, something sometimes called "desk apnea." I was exceptionally practiced at living from the neck up.
Yoga, meditation, breath and movement showed me another way of working with my own body and mind. That discovery became House of Embodiment: simple, practical ways for you to stop handing your attention over to mental chatter, come back to your body, and feel how clear, capable, connected and free you can be when more of your capacity is yours again.
I've taught yoga and meditation since 2014 and teach Yoga 1 at Arizona State University. My training is in Forrest Yoga, a strong, breath-led practice that helps people feel steadier from the inside out.
